Meditation and Energy

You're interested in spirituality but you don't know the best way to get started? My advice to anyone who asks me this is ALL WAYS: “Get started with silent meditation for at least 15 minutes a day for the duration of a month. Your life is bound to change!” Meditation is an absolute miracle tool. I can not emphasise this enough!

But how does meditation work?

Well, it is important to first realise that there are many different forms of meditation. There are all kinds of guided meditations. For example, you turn on a sound clip, listen to it, and enter into a deep relaxation and trance. These meditations serve to achieve a certain 'goal'. You may want to change a subconscious pattern, such as self-doubt. Or you might be interested in a meditation that centralises overcoming fear. Overall, all forms of meditation are good. Guided meditations are wonderful and the results can really change your life! However, if you are still preoccupied with things going on in your head, it will be hard to achieve the peace and quiet.

You have to imagine that we have around 60,000 to 70,000 thoughts running through our mind every day. Our mind is always busy working overtime. That's why it's so important that we start finding the silence now. When we are still occupying our mind through such guided meditation, this won’t offer any enlightenment. We are still creating thoughts, and even though this can be very powerful for certain purposes, you are still missing that aspect of meditation that can offer us so much: “THE SILENCE.”

Silent meditation is THE METHOD to really create transformation. It works as follows:

Everything existing in the world is energy. As is our human body and even our thoughts. Throughout the day you mainly have two kinds of thoughts that constantly pop up in your mind. Thoughts about the future like: "Ohhh, I have to put the laundry in the machine.” “What are we going to eat for dinner tonight?" or "I have to answer that email I received this morning." And you have constant thoughts about the past; "That was such a nice evening yesterday." Or "When I was a kid, I was crazy about popsicles!”

In your head, you are constantly busy with what has happened in the past or what you want to do in the future. While doing this, often without realising it, you use up your energy. With your thoughts you project energy on the past or on the future. You have to understand that you could actually use this energy for very different things. In order to use this energy, you first have to ensure that you’re thoughts are not constantly in the past or future. Instead you should try to stay in the HERE AND NOW.

And that is exactly what this silent meditation can help you out with. It serves to keep you AWARE in the HERE and NOW for a few minutes a day (15 - 20 minimum). Whenever a thought comes up, you start to focus on your breathing, and you keep repeating this until your mind calms down. Whenever you notice another thought coming up, you go back to the here and now. If you practice this often enough, you'll see that you'll get the hang of it. Because just as for anything in life, the same applies to meditation: practice makes perfect!

When you start meditating on a daily basis, you are no longer projecting the energy of your thoughts, but you are now keeping this energy to yourself. The electromagnetic energy field around your body becomes stronger and stronger. See it as you giving yourself the gift of energy. Energy that you can now use to transform your life!
